The basic level of EYELAB covers the first steps of cataract surgery. Making corneal incisions is the initial procedure in the phacoemulsification technique, whether extracapsular or intracapsular. Training in continuous circular capsulorhexis (CCC) is the main focus of this module, since a well-performed CCC is essential for surgical success.
